Lately, the vibe in my department at 3M has been... intense. Projects are piling up, deadlines are getting tighter, and it feels like we're constantly being asked to do more with less. I've heard some whispers, nothing concrete, but there's definitely an underlying tension. People are checking LinkedIn more often, having hushed conversations. My manager is being super cagey about future plans, just saying 'we need to be lean and efficient.'. Is anyone else experiencing this? Am I just being paranoid, or does this feel like the calm before a storm? It's hard to focus when you're constantly wondering what's next. Trying not to panic, but it's getting harder to ignore the signs. The recent manufacturing slowdown news isn't exactly reassuring either. Curious to hear if others are seeing similar trends across different divisions.

Yeah, the atmosphere has definitely shifted here. Been seeing a lot more people polishing up their resumes and having quiet chats by the coffee machine. Management's focus on 'efficiency' feels less like a strategic initiative and more like a signal that things are tightening up. Trying to stay positive and focus on my own work, but it's hard not to notice the growing unease.

It's not just you. The 'lean and efficient' mantra has been echoing through our team too, and it's creating a sense of uncertainty.
