Anyone else noticing a lot more 'voluntary separation' packages being offered lately?

I've been at 3M for a while now, and it feels like there's been a noticeable uptick in voluntary separation offers across different divisions. They're framed as opportunities for employees to explore new paths, but the timing feels... strategic. The packages seem decent, but it makes you wonder if this is a way to trim headcount without the headline-grabbing layoffs. My team's workload hasn't decreased, so it doesn't feel like they're cutting based on actual project needs, more like a numbers game. Anyone else seeing this, or am I just being paranoid?
