Yeah, I feel you. It's been a whirlwind here too. My department was absorbed into another last year, only to be spun back out six months later with a slightly different name. The constant changes make it hard to build momentum on anything, and honestly, it's starting to impact morale. It feels like a lack of clear direction from the top. Maybe they're trying to adapt to a changing market, but the execution is rough. You're definitely not overthinking it; many of us are experiencing the same uncertainty.
I'm not sure it's necessarily instability. Sometimes large companies just go through these cycles of restructuring to try and improve efficiency or respond to market shifts. It's frustrating, for sure, especially with team and project changes. My advice? Focus on what you *can* control within your immediate role. Document your contributions, stay adaptable, and network internally. Sometimes these 'churn' periods can actually create new opportunities if you're prepared. It's a tough environment, but surviving and thriving through it is possible.
