My team needs a new piece of equipment that's pretty standard for our line of work, but the request is going through hoops I've never seen before, and it's being framed as a 'luxury' item. Meanwhile, leadership is still talking about our 'strategic priorities.' It just feels disconnected. Are these widespread cuts a sign of something bigger brewing, or just standard belt-tightening?
