Has anyone else heard any rumblings about potential headcount reductions in the R&D or innovation departments? I'm in one of the tech-focused divisions and there's been a shift in project prioritization that feels a bit...unsettling. Some long-term projects are suddenly being shelved or put on indefinite hold, and there's talk about 'resource reallocation.' It's not official, obviously, but the vibe is definitely shifting. Not sure if this is widespread or just within my specific area. Anyone in similar roles or departments seeing or hearing anything related to this? Trying to gauge if it's a larger trend.

I'm in a similar boat. My division has also seen a noticeable slowdown in new initiatives. It's frustrating to see promising ideas get sidelined, especially when the company touts innovation. The 'resource reallocation' excuse feels a bit hollow when we're not seeing clear communication about the long-term strategy. Hopefully, it's just a temporary adjustment and not a sign of a larger trend impacting the core of our technical capabilities.
