Yeah, I'm feeling it too. It's like they want us to pull rabbits out of hats. The 'strategic priorities' jargon is everywhere, and frankly, it's exhausting trying to constantly prove 'impact' when the day-to-day tasks are already a struggle. The hiring freeze definitely adds to the pressure. Feels like we're expected to do more with less, and the 'cost optimization' buzzwords are not exactly comforting.
Interesting take. I've noticed the shift in language around reviews as well. While I appreciate the focus on strategic alignment, the lack of additional resources does make it feel like a moving target. It's a delicate balance, trying to demonstrate significant contributions while navigating operational constraints. Hopefully, this push for impact is a genuine attempt to elevate performance, rather than just a lead-in to further cuts.
