AbbVie - Anyone else noticing hiring freezes and project delays?

Hey everyone, Been at AbbVie for a few years now, and lately, things feel… weird. We've had a few roles go quiet after posting, and some projects I was expecting to kick off are suddenly on indefinite hold. There's no official word, but the vibe in my department is definitely cautious. Feels like the purse strings are being tightened. Anyone else in other areas of the company seeing similar things? Is it a company-wide thing, or just my division? Trying to get a sense of the overall climate without resorting to rumor mills, but it's hard not to notice the shift. Just wondering if anyone has any insights or is experiencing the same thing. Curious about what's actually going on behind the scenes.

Yeah, I've definitely noticed a similar slowdown in my area. A few positions we were actively recruiting for suddenly went dark, and there's been a lot of internal shuffling around existing projects rather than new initiatives. It's creating a bit of uncertainty, for sure. Hopefully, it's just a temporary adjustment period and not a sign of bigger issues.

Interesting you bring this up. We've also experienced some unexpected project pauses and a general slowing of the hiring pipeline. It's a bit unnerving not having clear communication about it, but I've seen these cycles before in large pharma. Usually, it means a strategic re-evaluation or a focus on cash flow. Let's hope it's a short-term thing.
