AbbVie - Rumblings of a restructure? Seeing some odd project prioritization

Hey everyone, Been at AbbVie for a few years now, mostly in R&D. Lately, things have felt... different. Budgets are definitely tighter, that's for sure. But it's not just the money. It's the way projects are being prioritized. Some things that seemed like slam dunks a year ago are now getting put on the back burner, while others that were lower on the totem pole are suddenly getting all the resources. It's causing a lot of confusion and frankly, some anxiety among my team. We're not hearing official word about layoffs, but this feels like the kind of precursor you hear about in other companies when they're getting ready for a shake-up. Anyone else in different departments seeing similar shifts in focus or hearing whispers about organizational changes? Curious if this is an AbbVie-wide thing or if it's specific to certain areas. Just trying to get a read on the general vibe.

I've also noticed a shift in project focus within R&D. It's unsettling when established priorities seem to change without clear communication. My team is struggling to adapt, and the lack of transparency about the 'why' behind these decisions is definitely creating uncertainty. Hopefully, leadership will provide more clarity soon, as it's impacting morale and our ability to plan effectively. It feels like we're navigating without a map right now.

Interesting to hear others are feeling the same. The budget constraints are one thing, but the sudden shuffling of project importance is really throwing people off. There's a sense of disjointed strategy, and it's hard to stay motivated when the roadmap keeps changing so drastically. Makes you wonder what the long-term vision truly is if the short-term execution feels so reactive and uncoordinated. Hoping for some stability ahead.
