Curious if anyone else is feeling a shift at AbbVie. We haven't had any major announcements or town halls discussing significant workforce changes, but there's a distinct undercurrent of uncertainty. My manager has been really cagey about Q4 planning, and there's talk about certain initiatives being put on indefinite hold. I've also observed a noticeable increase in people polishing their LinkedIn profiles and having hushed conversations in the breakroom. It feels like more than just typical end-of-year jitters. Has anyone experienced a sudden freeze on travel or external training requests? Or maybe changes to performance review criteria that seem a bit harsher than usual? Trying to gauge if this is a company-wide sentiment or if I'm just picking up on noise within my specific group. Any insights would be appreciated.

I've definitely picked up on some of that unease myself. While nothing concrete has been shared, the lack of clarity around Q4 planning is pretty telling. It's creating a lot of speculation, and frankly, a bit of anxiety for those of us trying to plan projects and understand our team's direction. Seeing people discreetly updating their resumes doesn't exactly inspire confidence either. It feels like we're in a holding pattern, and the silence is louder than any announcement.

I can't speak to specific initiatives being put on hold, but I've noticed a general tightening up across the board. Budgets seem a lot less flexible than they were even six months ago, and approvals for even small expenditures are taking longer. The 'hushed conversations' are definitely a thing – it's hard to ignore when you see it happening frequently. It's creating an atmosphere where people are understandably looking out for themselves and trying to understand what the future holds.
