Lately, the general vibe in the office (or on Teams calls, since most of us are hybrid) just feels... off. People seem more withdrawn, less likely to engage in casual chat, and there's this undercurrent of anxiety. I've heard whispers about certain departments being 'streamlined' or projects being put on hold indefinitely, but nothing concrete. It's like everyone's walking on eggshells, afraid to ask too many questions or draw attention. Even team meetings feel more subdued, with less brainstorming and more just 'checking the box'. I'm trying to stay positive and focused on my work, but it's hard when you feel like there's a storm brewing just over the horizon. Anyone else picking up on this, or is it just my team/department?
