Quiet Quitting by Management?

Seriously, what's going on? It feels like a lot of management is just… coasting. Lots of meetings that go nowhere, decisions being punted, and a general lack of urgency on anything that requires actual leadership. Are they waiting for direction from higher up, or is this just the new normal? The buzzwords are all still there ('synergy,' 'innovation,' 'agile'), but the substance seems to have evaporated. It's making it incredibly hard to get anything done at my level. We're getting asked to deliver on goals that are either vague or constantly shifting, and when you ask for clarification, you get a shrug or a deflection. It's frustrating, and frankly, a little concerning. Anyone else experiencing this disconnect from the top?

I'm feeling this too. It's like we're all treading water. There's so much talk about 'efficiency' and 'optimization,' but when you try to get a concrete decision or a clear path forward on a project, it's like pulling teeth. The lack of decisive action is really impacting morale and productivity. Feels like the wheels are spinning but not really going anywhere. Hope things shift soon.

This post resonates. The disconnect between the stated goals and the observable actions is staggering. When you bring up an issue that needs a strong hand, it's often met with vague platitudes or deferrals. It’s disheartening to see the energy being poured into processes rather than actual outcomes. Hopefully, this is a temporary phase and not a permanent shift in how things operate here.
