Anyone else feel like they're being managed out?

Lately, it feels like they're trying to push people out without outright laying them off. My manager has been piling on 'performance improvement' tasks that feel impossible to achieve, and there's a lot of scrutiny on my work that wasn't there before. Been here for a while, always met expectations, but now it feels like a constant battle to prove myself. Heard similar stories from a few colleagues on different projects too. It's not a formal layoff, but the atmosphere is definitely tense. Feels like a slow, painful way to trim headcount. Anyone else experiencing this or know what's going on?

I've heard similar rumblings from folks in different divisions. The pressure definitely feels amplified lately, with a lot more focus on metrics that seem designed to catch people out. It's a tough environment when you feel like you're constantly walking on eggshells, especially after putting in solid work for years. Hope things shift soon.

It's unsettling to hear you're experiencing this too. The 'performance improvement' route can be a really demoralizing way to manage people out. It creates so much stress and uncertainty, and it's hard to focus on delivering when you're busy trying to navigate these artificial hurdles. Hang in there, and keep documenting everything.
