Confirmed: My team in NJ was impacted

Just wanted to post for the sake of transparency. I was one of the 71 impacted in the Morristown location yesterday. It was incredibly abrupt. I logged on at 8 AM, and by 9:30, I was locked out of everything. No prior warning, no performance improvement plan, just a calendar invite titled 'Business Update' that ended with me being told my role was redundant due to 'structural alignment.' It’s frustrating because I’ve been pulling 50-hour weeks for months trying to support the transition to the new delivery model. I guess that’s the reality of working here—you’re a line item on a spreadsheet, regardless of the hours you put in or the loyalty you show. I know others are asking about severance—mine was standard, but don't expect them to be flexible on the terms. Keep your heads down if you're still there, and definitely start backing up any personal documents or contacts you might need, because you won't have time once they pull the plug. Good luck to everyone else still in the trenches.

I’m truly sorry to hear this. The 'Business Update' invite is classic corporate cowardice. It’s infuriating that they demand 50-hour weeks right up until the second they decide you’re 'redundant.' Please take some time for yourself to process this—none of this reflects on your hard work or value. Focus on updating your network and finding a firm that actually respects the human element of the business. You’ll land on your feet, but for now, just breathe and handle the paperwork.
