Hiring freeze or just slow?

Things seem eerily quiet on the hiring front across many practice areas. Used to be we'd have new faces joining onboarding groups every couple of weeks, or at least seeing movement on open requisitions. Now, it feels like the pipeline just... stopped. Is this a deliberate hiring freeze, or is the recruiting team just swamped, or are projects genuinely drying up to the point where new hires aren't needed? Anyone else in different parts of the business seeing the same thing or hearing any whispers about it?

I'm seeing the same thing, especially in the digital transformation space. It's definitely unnerving when you're used to a constant flow of new talent. My guess is it's a bit of everything – projects might be slower to close, and they might be reassessing needs before bringing on more people. Hang in there, hopefully things pick up soon.

Honestly, I'm not convinced it's a full freeze. I think recruiting might be facing some internal challenges, perhaps a shift in strategy or resources. Also, the market itself is a bit volatile right now, so companies are likely being more cautious. Keep an eye on LinkedIn, sometimes those internal movements are announced there before anything else.
