Projects drying up faster than usual?

Just me or are project pipelines looking really thin lately? Feels like a lot of proposals are getting shelved or just paused indefinitely. Normally we'd have a few more irons in the fire by now, but it feels like clients are really pulling back. Anyone else's delivery org seeing this? Wondering if it's a broad trend or just our specific practice area. Starting to make me a bit uneasy about utilization numbers heading into next quarter.

Yeah, I'm seeing it too. Our engagement pipeline definitely feels leaner than it has in past years around this time. It's not just proposals; even existing projects are facing scope reductions or extended approval cycles. Management is talking about it in town halls, so it seems like a company-wide concern, not just isolated to a single practice. The uncertainty about client spending is definitely making everyone a bit more anxious about utilization and even potential re-skilling efforts.

Not sure I'm seeing the same level of 'drying up'. We've had a couple of deals stall, sure, but it feels more like the usual ebb and flow of a large consulting business. Sometimes clients just need more time to make decisions, especially with economic shifts. I'd focus on strengthening relationships with existing clients and looking for those smaller, quicker wins that can keep utilization up in the short term. Don't panic yet; might just be a temporary lull.
