Hey everyone, long-time lurker here. Been with Adobe for a few years now, and the vibe around hiring has felt pretty stagnant for a while. I remember seeing posts about potential layoffs last year, but nothing concrete ever seemed to materialize across the board. My team's been on a hiring freeze for ages, and it feels like we're spread pretty thin. We've got a lot of ambitious projects lined up, but without new blood, it's tough to see how we'll hit our targets. Anyone else on the engineering or product side noticing a shift? Are there any whispers about hiring opening back up in different departments, or is it still the same 'wait and see' approach? I'm also on the engineering side and can confirm the freeze feels never-ending. We've been trying to hire for a key role for over a year, and it's just been one hurdle after another. It's definitely impacting our velocity, and the increased workload is starting to wear people down. Management keeps talking about 'strategic realignment,' but it feels more like they're just trying to do more with less. Hoping for some positive news soon, but not holding my breath.

Yeah, the hiring freeze has been a buzzkill. My team’s been similarly impacted, and it’s frustrating seeing projects get delayed because we're short-staffed. The 'we're all in this together' mentality is great, but it only goes so far when people are consistently overworked.
