Is it just me, or does anyone else feel like a target right now?

Been at Adobe for 7 years, mostly doing UI work on [product name]. I've seen restructures before, but this feels different. The VP of Engineering was in our all-hands last week talking about "synergies" and "efficiencies." That's code for layoffs, right? My performance reviews have been good, but honestly, who knows what metrics they're using to make these decisions? Anyone else feeling extra anxious? I'm updating my resume, just in case.

Totally feeling it. Those buzzwords are ALWAYS a bad sign. I've been through it twice at other companies. Start networking NOW. Reach out to old colleagues, update your LinkedIn, and see what's out there. Even if you don't need it, having options feels empowering. Don't wait until the axe falls, be proactive!

Honestly, good performance reviews don't mean squat. I've seen top performers get canned because their department got restructured. "Synergies" usually means overlapping roles. Polish that resume, but also try to get a sense of what projects are considered 'safe' and see if you can get involved. It's a long shot, but worth a try. Good luck!
