It feels like there's a lot of nervous energy on my floor lately. We keep seeing these 'Adobe layoff' rumors circulating online, and while management is acting like everything is totally fine, the vibes in our weekly all-hands have been super tense. People are asking weird questions about the Q4 roadmap that usually aren't brought up, and the leadership seems to be dodging anything specific about budget stabilization. I know it’s standard practice to deny these things until the last second, but I can't shake the feeling that something is coming. Has anyone had a skip-level meeting recently where they actually addressed the rumors, or are we all just staring at our dashboards waiting for an email notification? I’m worried that if I don’t start interviewing now, I’m going to be left scrambling if the hammer actually drops.

Honestly, keep your head down and focus on documenting your wins for now. Management is paid to keep the stock price stable and maintain morale, so of course they are going to dodge those questions until they absolutely can't anymore. It is draining to work in that kind of environment, but obsessing over the vibes will just lead to burnout before anything even happens. Just save your files, keep your LinkedIn status quiet, and try to treat it like just another day. If the ship starts sinking, you will want your documentation ready to go elsewhere anyway.
