Anyone else feeling the pressure? AECOM seems quiet lately...

Hey everyone, I'm starting to get that uneasy feeling at AECOM. Been here about 4 years in the transportation division, and things have been so quiet lately. Usually, there's always some project buzz or internal comms about new wins, but it's been radio silence for a few weeks now. My manager is being cagey when asked about Q4 projections, just saying 'things are stable'. This feels a lot like the lead-up to what happened at [Competitor Company] last year. Anyone else in similar roles or divisions hearing anything, even whispers? Trying not to jump to conclusions but the vibe is definitely off. Worried about job security, especially with inflation still being a thing and budgets getting tighter. Has anyone started updating their resume or reaching out to recruiters just in case?

Yeah, I've noticed it too. Things definitely feel a bit muted across the board, not just in transportation. I'm in the water division and the usual chatter about upcoming proposals has slowed to a crawl. 'Stable' is the word my manager uses too, which is corporate speak for 'don't ask too many questions'. It's hard not to worry when the pipelines usually feel so full. I'm starting to update my resume just in case, better safe than sorry, right?

Hold on a second, let's not jump to conclusions. 'Quiet' can just mean a lull between major project cycles or a strategic shift in focus. Companies go through phases, and sometimes it’s just a period of consolidation or internal reorganization before the next big push. Remember last year when everyone thought [Another Competitor] was going under and they ended up landing that massive infrastructure deal? Keep your head down, do good work, and focus on what you can control. Panicking rarely helps.
