Anyone prepping their resume 'just in case'?

Okay, so I haven't heard any concrete news, and there's been no official announcement, but the general quietness and the way things have been feeling lately is making me a bit antsy. I've been updating my resume and LinkedIn profile more out of habit than anything, but it feels like good practice given the current climate in the industry. I've seen some chatter on other platforms about potential shifts in headcount at various engineering firms, and while AECOM hasn't been specifically named in any major articles, you never know. Trying not to be paranoid, but better safe than sorry, right? Just curious if others are doing the same, or if you think I'm overreacting.

Totally get the 'just in case' vibe. It's smart to keep things fresh, even if nothing concrete is happening. I always feel a little more confident knowing my resume is up-to-date and highlights my recent projects. Last year, I updated mine on a whim and then a role opened up unexpectedly a few weeks later that was perfect. It saved me so much time and stress. Better to be prepared than scrambling when an opportunity or necessity arises.

I'm not sure I'm buying into the widespread panic just yet. Engineering firms always have cycles, and 'chatter' can spread like wildfire without much basis. While keeping your resume updated is never a bad idea for personal development, I wouldn't let external noise dictate major career decisions without solid information. Focus on delivering great work where you are; that's usually the best job security.
