I've definitely felt a shift too. It seems like the emphasis on efficiency and meeting deadlines has ratcheted up significantly. It's not just about getting the work done, but *how fast* it gets done, and that pressure definitely trickles down. Makes you wonder if the focus is more on billable hours than sustainable team well-being. Definitely noticed a lot more people working late, even on tasks that don't seem inherently urgent.
Interesting to hear someone else say this. I've been attributing it to the current economic climate and the industry in general, but there's a distinct AECOM flavor to it. The constant drive for 'optimization' can sometimes feel like it's optimizing the human element right out of the equation. Less room for collaboration, more for just churning out deliverables. Hopefully, it's a temporary phase, but it's certainly noticeable.
