Project pipeline looking thin lately?

Just me or has anyone else noticed a significant slowdown in new project wins being announced or discussed internally? Seems like the pipeline we usually hear about is really drying up. Feels like a concerning sign, especially with how competitive things are getting. Makes me wonder if there's a strategy shift happening or if we're just in a rough patch. My team's been pushing hard to find new work, but the opportunities just don't seem to be materializing like they used to. Anyone else seeing this across different divisions or regions? Curious if it's a company-wide trend or isolated to certain areas.

I've been noticing something similar. It feels like the usual ebb and flow is more pronounced lately, and the 'flow' part seems to be taking a long vacation. It's definitely put a bit of a strain on my department trying to forecast future workload. I'm hoping it's just a cyclical downturn and not a fundamental shift, but it's hard not to feel a little uneasy. We're also finding ourselves having to hustle harder than usual for fewer prospects. Let's hope things pick up soon.

Interesting you bring this up. While I haven't seen a drastic slowdown, I have observed that the types of projects being awarded seem to be shifting. Perhaps the focus is moving towards smaller, more specialized contracts rather than the large, multi-year infrastructure deals that used to dominate our pipeline news? It might require a strategic pivot in how we're approaching business development. It's worth exploring if our sales teams are targeting the right opportunities in this evolving market landscape.
