Start quietly updating your resume and LinkedIn profile, just in case. Networking never hurts either. Even if things turn out okay, you'll have broadened your connections.
Honestly, these 'consolidation' talks are usually just code for layoffs. My buddy went through something similar at another fintech last year. They kept everyone strung along for weeks with vague promises. He should've seen the writing on the wall sooner and started looking for something else. Don't make the same mistake. Best of luck!
