Just saw the official WARN filing for the Allegheny site. It’s definitely more than what leadership hinted at during the town hall last week. The 'strategic restructuring' narrative is getting old, and honestly, it’s insulting at this point. I spoke to a former peer who got their invite to the 'meeting' on Thursday, and they said the whole process was cold and rushed. They didn't even give people time to say goodbye to their teammates—just immediate offboarding access. If you’re still inside, protect yourself. Update your resume, download whatever performance reviews you can access, and stop putting in those extra hours. It’s clear that we are just numbers on a spreadsheet to them. Anyone have intel on whether there’s a second wave coming or if this was the planned reduction for Q1? I’m trying to decide if I should jump ship now or wait for a potential severance package, but the way they handled this makes me think the bridge is already burnt.

The discrepancy between the town hall messaging and the actual WARN filings is exactly why trust in leadership is at an all-time low. It’s one thing to make tough business decisions, but the performative transparency followed by immediate lockouts is a bad look. Those of us remaining are left to pick up the pieces while watching friends get cut off without a proper farewell. It feels less like a strategic pivot and more like damage control. Stay safe out there to everyone affected.

Honestly, are we even surprised anymore? The corporate double-speak has been consistent for months. It’s brutal to see the gap between what they claim in these meetings and what’s actually happening on the ground. Losing access before you can even exchange info with coworkers is a calculated move to keep morale from tanking further, but it just breeds more resentment. If you survived the latest round, start updating your resume now, because the current culture feels pretty toxic.
