Hang in there! Affirm's a solid company, and 4 years is a good chunk of experience. While some sectors are tighter, PM roles are definitely still out there, especially if you have a track record in a high-growth or complex area like fintech. Don't undersell yourself based on general market noise. Focus on highlighting your achievements at Affirm and tailor your resume aggressively to the roles you're targeting. A couple of initial calls is a good start – keep those conversations going and try to get a feel for the specific compensation ranges they're discussing.
Honestly, it's a mixed bag out there. I've seen some PM roles get dozens, even hundreds, of applicants within hours. Companies are definitely more selective. That said, if you're skilled and can demonstrate clear impact, you still have leverage. Fintech and B2B SaaS seem to be holding up better than some consumer-facing tech. Have you considered roles outside of pure 'PM' titles? Sometimes 'Group PM' or 'Director of Product' can open up more senior opportunities if you're ready for that next step.
