Is the Allegheny office even functional anymore?

Does anyone actually know what the headcount is at the PA office following this latest round? I’ve been trying to ping folks in engineering for a status update on a project we were collaborating on, and half of them have been deactivated in Slack. It’s impossible to get any actual work done when you’re constantly wondering if your counterpart is still employed or if the team was gutted entirely. The radio silence from management is deafening. They drop these WARN notices and then act like it’s business as usual while the rest of us are left to piece together who is left. If you’re in Allegheny, are you guys just sitting on your hands waiting for the next shoe to drop? I’m seriously looking at my options because the anxiety of checking the org chart every morning is starting to take a toll. This place feels like a shell of what it was a year ago.

The Allegheny office feels like a ghost town lately. I’ve noticed the same thing with Slack deactivations—it’s honestly stressful trying to track down project owners when half the directory is greyed out. Management’s refusal to provide a clear headcount or roadmap for that location is just adding to the uncertainty. At this point, it feels like they’re just waiting for the lease to expire or for the remaining headcount to drop to zero before they officially shut it down. Good luck getting any meaningful collaboration done with that level of turnover.

Stop waiting for an update that isn't coming. If you're seeing those Slack IDs vanish, that’s your answer regarding the status of the engineering team. It’s a classic move: gut the headcount, stop all external communications, and leave the remaining folks in the dark to burn out. If your counterpart is gone, assume the project is effectively dead or indefinitely paused. Save yourself the headache and document the lack of response, then prioritize other work. This company has made it clear that transparency isn't on the table anymore.
