Performance Reviews and Uncertainty at Affirm

So, performance review season is rolling around again at Affirm, and honestly, the atmosphere feels a lot more tense than usual. There's been a lot of internal messaging about 'efficiency' and 'strategic focus,' which is fine, but it's hard to ignore the whispers about potential headcount adjustments. I haven't seen any official announcements, but the constant talk about 'optimizing' makes me nervous. Are others feeling this pressure? Is it just me, or are managers being unusually tight-lipped about future plans and team structures? It's tough to plan or feel secure when you're not sure what the landscape will look like in a few months. Trying to understand if this is a company-wide sentiment or if certain departments are feeling it more acutely. Any insights on how reviews are being handled or any hints from leadership about the path forward would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, I'm definitely feeling that too. The 'efficiency' talk is constant, and while I understand businesses need to adapt, it's creating a lot of anxiety. Managers do seem more guarded lately, and the lack of clear communication isn't helping. It's tough to stay focused on your work when you're constantly wondering what the future holds. Hoping for some clarity soon, but it feels like we're all just bracing ourselves.
