Resource constraints and project scope creep - what's going on?

Lately, it feels like my team is constantly being asked to do more with fewer resources. We've had some key people move on (not necessarily layoffs, but departures), and we haven't seen proportional backfills. At the same time, project requirements seem to be expanding, or at least the urgency around them is increasing. It's becoming a real challenge to meet deadlines without burning everyone out. I'm starting to wonder if this is a company-wide trend or if it's isolated to specific areas. Has anyone else seen their team's bandwidth consistently overestimated or their scope creep significantly without additional support? Trying to get a pulse on whether this is a sign of underlying issues or just a temporary squeeze. The constant pressure to deliver without the necessary tools or headcount is starting to wear thin.
