Rumors of hiring freeze are getting louder...

Hey everyone, been seeing a lot of whispers around the water cooler (or Slack, rather) about a potential hiring freeze. Anyone else hearing this? It feels like things have definitely slowed down on the recruiting front, and a few folks I know who were expecting offers are suddenly in limbo. Not trying to spread panic, but the silence from leadership on this is deafening. Is anyone in HR or management able to shed any light? Just trying to get a pulse on the situation. It's hard to plan for the future when you're not sure if the company is even looking to grow. Curious if this is just my department or a broader trend across Affirm. Let me know what you're hearing.

Definitely feeling that slowdown myself. The speed at which roles were being filled just a few months ago feels like a distant memory. It's concerning, especially when you see key positions remaining vacant for extended periods. Hopefully, it's a temporary pause and not indicative of larger issues. Keeping an ear to the ground for any official word, but the lack of transparency is a bit unsettling for morale. Guess we just keep doing our best with what we have for now.
