Hey, sorry you're even having to think about this. From what I've heard anecdotally (and this is just whispers, so take it with a huge grain of salt), they *usually* stick to the handbook's minimum. But, a lot probably depends on the scale of the layoff. If it's big, they might sweeten the pot to avoid lawsuits or bad press. I definitely wouldn't expect RSUs to be included, it's almost always just based on your base salary.
Honestly, don't get your hopes up for anything beyond the minimum outlined in your offer letter and employee handbook. Companies rarely go above and beyond these days. Start updating your resume and networking now. Being proactive is the best thing you can do. Severance is nice, but a new job is better. Good luck, hope it doesn't come to that!
