Aflac - Anybody else seeing a slowdown in project pipelines?

I've noticed a definite shift in the last quarter or so. Projects that were greenlit and moving forward seem to be getting put on the back burner, and new proposals aren't getting the same traction. Budgets feel tighter, and there's a lot more scrutiny on every expenditure. It's making it hard to plan and execute. Is this a widespread thing across different departments, or is it just my area experiencing this? I'm wondering if this is a precursor to something bigger, or just a normal ebb and flow. It feels a bit more pronounced than usual, though. Anyone else in a similar boat, or have any intel on why things might be slowing down?

Yeah, I've definitely felt that too. It's like the faucet has been turned down a notch across the board. Even internal initiatives that used to get quick approvals are now facing drawn-out discussions and multiple layers of sign-off. The emphasis on cost-saving is palpable, and it's making even routine project planning feel like an uphill battle. Makes you wonder what the long-term strategy is if resources are being pulled back this significantly.

Completely agree. My team's been hitting roadblocks on new projects that seemed like no-brainers just a few months ago. We're seeing increased pressure to justify every dollar spent, and the review cycles are longer. It's creating a bit of uncertainty and definitely impacting morale when you can't move forward with good ideas. Hoping it's just a temporary adjustment rather than a sign of a more serious downturn.
