Anyone else seeing a freeze on new hires/promotions?

Been hearing whispers and seeing a lot of open requisitions suddenly go dark. Also, my team's been talking about how there haven't been any internal promotions announced in months, which is unusual for this time of year. It feels like a hiring and promotion freeze is in effect, even if it hasn't been officially declared. Is this happening elsewhere in Aflac? It's making it hard to plan career growth and honestly, it's adding to the general unease that's been building. Trying to get a sense of the company's direction and whether this is a temporary pause or something more significant. Any intel appreciated.

Yeah, I'm definitely seeing the same thing on my end. A lot of roles that were posted a few weeks ago are now just gone, no explanation. And you're right about the internal promotions – it's been crickets for months. It's unsettling, for sure. Makes you wonder what's going on behind the scenes. My manager is being tight-lipped, just saying 'things are a bit slow right now.' Not exactly reassuring when you're looking to move up. Hope it's just a temporary lull and not a sign of bigger issues.

Hold on a second, are we sure this is a *freeze*? Sometimes requisitions get paused for budget reviews or if the hiring manager changes their mind. It doesn't always mean something is wrong. And promotions can be cyclical. Maybe the typical promotion cycle just shifted this year. I'd wait for an official announcement before jumping to conclusions. Could just be a busy period with less visibility on internal moves. Let's not create panic where there might not be any.
