Anyone else seeing major project delays or budget cuts?

Lately, it feels like every initiative has to go through a dozen extra approval layers, and even then, funding seems scarce. We've had key resources pulled from our team for 'strategic realignment' - sounds like corporate speak for something else. My manager is being super cagey when asked about future planning for our department. It's making it hard to plan my own career development here, let alone feel secure. I'm wondering if this is a company-wide trend or specific to certain divisions. Is anyone else experiencing this? Are new hires being put on hold? Is the performance review process suddenly more brutal? Feels like there's a tightening of the belt happening across the board, and I'm trying to figure out if that's leading to anything more serious down the line. Any insights from other Aflac employees would be appreciated.
