Impact of Market Volatility on Bonuses/Compensation?

With how the market's been lately, and honestly, Aflac's stock performance not exactly setting records, I'm starting to sweat about our bonus payouts this year. Anyone have any insight into how they're calculating or adjusting comp based on recent economic trends? Usually, we get a decent heads-up, or at least a general sense of expectations. This year, though, feels different. My skip-level meeting was pretty generic, avoided direct questions about performance targets vs. market realities. It's hard not to think about personal finances when the company's financial outlook seems uncertain. Hoping for the best, but bracing for potential cuts or lower payouts.

Yeah, I'm feeling the same anxiety. The market's been brutal for pretty much everyone, and while Aflac is usually pretty stable, this year feels like a different beast. I haven't heard anything concrete either, just the usual platitudes about 'navigating current conditions.' My guess is they'll have to adjust something, but whether that means lower targets or a different calculation method, who knows. It's frustrating not having transparency when our livelihoods depend on it. Trying to stay optimistic, but it's tough.

Honestly, I wouldn't sweat it *too* much yet. Remember a few years back when things looked grim, and then the bonus payout was surprisingly decent? Sometimes these companies have other metrics beyond just stock price that factor in. Plus, they usually have some buffer or different ways to incentivize. Focus on hitting whatever targets you can control, and if they do adjust, you'll deal with it then. Panicking now won't change the outcome and just adds unnecessary stress.
