Just saw the filings go live regarding the August 9th date. 180 heads gone across the CA sites—San Diego and Carpinteria specifically. It feels like the slow burn is finally turning into a bonfire. I’ve been hearing whispers about budget tightening for months, but seeing the actual WARN notice makes it hit different. For those of us still sitting at our desks today, the silence in the office is deafening. Is anyone actually safe, or is this just the first wave of a wider restructuring? I’m genuinely concerned about what the Q3 earnings call is going to look like. It’s hard to stay focused on project milestones when you're just waiting for a calendar invite from HR that you didn't schedule.

The WARN notice just confirms what we’ve been dreading for months. I have friends in Carpinteria who were blindsided this morning, and the atmosphere here in San Diego is absolutely toxic. It feels like management is trying to appease shareholders by trimming the headcount, but they are gutting the culture in the process. I’m honestly looking for an exit strategy now because the 'restructuring' narrative is clearly just a convenient cover for ongoing instability. We are all just waiting for the next shoe to drop.
