Severance Packages - What's the Usual?

Okay, so this is obviously a hypothetical question for a friend... but if, *hypothetically*, someone were to be impacted by layoffs at Agilent in the Life Sciences division, what's the general expectation for severance? I've heard different things from different companies, ranging from a couple of weeks per year of service to a more fixed package. Does anyone have experience or knowledge about what Agilent typically offers? Trying to get a sense of what a 'worst-case scenario' might look like from a financial planning perspective, just to be prepared. No rumors, just trying to understand standard practice if the worst were to happen. Thanks in advance for any insights.

Agilent's severance can be pretty standard, often leaning towards a formula based on years of service. Expect something in the ballpark of 1-2 weeks per year of tenure, with a cap. They tend to be fairly consistent, so while specifics can vary slightly based on role and level, it's usually not a wild deviation from that general guideline. It's wise to prepare for the lower end of estimates, just to be safe.
