AIG - Anyone else's team lead acting cagey?

Is it just me or are managers at AIG suddenly masters of the vague response? My manager has been super cagey about team goals for next quarter, basically saying 'we're focusing on current priorities.' Not exactly inspiring confidence. This follows a period where we had some pretty aggressive hiring targets earlier in the year, and now it feels like the faucet has been turned off, but without any official announcement. It's the lack of transparency that's really getting to me. Makes you wonder what's being planned behind closed doors. I'm trying to stay optimistic and focus on my work, but it's hard when the information vacuum is so loud. Anyone else experiencing this kind of evasiveness from leadership? Are they just bad communicators, or is this a sign of something bigger brewing that they're not allowed to talk about yet? It's the uncertainty that breeds anxiety, you know? Just wondering if this is an isolated incident or a company-wide communication strategy (or lack thereof). Curious to hear if others are in the same boat.
