AIG - Performance Reviews Feel Different This Year

Hey everyone, has anyone else felt a shift in the performance review process at AIG recently? It feels like there's a lot more emphasis on 'impact' and 'efficiency' this cycle, way more than usual. My manager's been asking for more detailed metrics and justifications for projects. It's not just about hitting targets anymore, it feels like they're scrutinizing *how* we hit them and if there was a 'cheaper' way. I'm not hearing any concrete layoff news, but the vibe in my team and a few others I've chatted with is definitely more tense than usual. Feels like management is really trying to get a handle on costs and individual contributions. Anyone else experiencing this or have any insights into what might be driving this change? Trying to figure out if it's a company-wide thing or just my specific division.

Yeah, I've noticed that too. It definitely feels like there's a microscope on everything. We're being pushed to quantify results in ways that sometimes feel a bit forced, and the discussion always circles back to cost-effectiveness. Makes you wonder if there's a broader strategic shift happening behind the scenes. Hopefully, it's just a push for better operational clarity and not a precursor to something more.

Totally get where you're coming from. The pressure to demonstrate 'impact' with hard numbers is intense. It's like they want a bulletproof case for every dollar spent. While I appreciate the focus on efficiency, it sometimes feels like it stifles innovation or a more nuanced approach to problem-solving. Hoping it translates to clearer goals and not just more hoops to jump through.
