How's the workload been since the restructuring? Feeling overloaded.

Hey everyone, just wondering if anyone else is feeling the squeeze after the recent 'efficiency drive' they pushed through a few months back? My team's been absolutely swamped. We lost a couple of folks (not officially layoffs, more like 'early retirements' and 'pursuing other opportunities'), and management hasn't backfilled. Now we're expected to do the same amount of work, if not more, with fewer people. My skip-level mentioned 'streamlining processes,' but honestly, it feels like we're just drowning in tasks. Deadlines are getting tighter, and the quality of work is starting to suffer because we're constantly rushing. Anyone else in a similar boat? How are you guys coping? Looking for any tips or just solidarity at this point.

Yeah, I hear you. It's the same story in my department. Seems like 'efficiency' is just code for 'do more with less.' We've been drowning in work, and the pressure is definitely on. I'm not sure how long we can keep this pace up without burnout. Have you guys tried pushing back or highlighting the risks to management? Sometimes they don't realize the impact until it's too late.

Honestly, I haven't noticed much difference. Maybe my team got lucky, or perhaps we were already running pretty lean. The 'restructuring' seemed to just shuffle some titles around and didn't really change much day-to-day for us. Are you sure it's the restructuring specifically, or is it just a general increase in projects? Might be worth looking at your team's project prioritization.
