Post-merger integration at AIG - anyone else feeling the pain?

So, the integration following that big acquisition is still ongoing, and honestly, it feels like a mess. My department is constantly shifting priorities, and it's hard to keep track of who's in charge of what anymore. We're losing people left and right, not through layoffs exactly, but people are just jumping ship because the uncertainty is too much. New systems are being rolled out with zero training, and nobody seems to know the long-term vision. Is anyone else in a similar boat? Feels like we're just spinning our wheels and morale is at an all-time low. Management seems oblivious or is just spinning it as 'challenges.'

Yeah, I feel this. The constant flux in direction and the lack of clear leadership is incredibly demotivating. It's like we're in a perpetual state of 'reorg' without any of the promised benefits. People are burnt out and the lack of clear communication about the 'why' behind these changes makes it even harder to stomach. Honestly, I'm starting to dust off my resume too. The ship feels like it's taking on water and no one's handing out life rafts.

Hang in there. While the chaos is real, try to focus on what you *can* control within your immediate role. Document everything – especially the shifting priorities and lack of training. This might be useful later if things get sorted or if you need to explain your performance during this period. Also, network internally with people you trust; sometimes informal chats reveal more than official channels. Hopefully, a more stable period will emerge soon, but for now, adaptability is key.
