Anyone else hearing whispers about potential restructuring?

Hey everyone. Been at AP for about 6 years now, in the R&D side, specifically process engineering. Lately, there's been a weird vibe. Meetings get canceled last minute, managers are cagey when you ask about project timelines extending, and there's a general quietness that wasn't there before. My direct manager just gave a generic 'business as usual' line when I probed, but he looked pretty stressed. Just wondering if anyone else in different departments, maybe sales or operations, is picking up on similar things? Not trying to cause panic, just trying to get a feel for what's happening. Feels like something's brewing, and it's not a pleasant kind of brewing.

I'm also in R&D, though a different group. I haven't heard specific restructuring rumors, but I've noticed a similar lack of clarity on future projects. Budgets seem tighter, and there's definitely an undercurrent of unease. Honestly, it's unsettling. I've been thinking about updating my resume just in case, though I hope it's nothing. Has anyone else experienced budget cuts or hiring freezes in their areas?

Restructuring? Not hearing anything concrete on that front from my end in operations. We're swamped with Q4 push, so maybe the disconnect is just that. Managers are always cagey about project timelines, that's standard. Could just be end-of-year jitters and people reading too much into minor things. Focus on your work, deliver results, and if something major happens, you'll find out. Don't let the office gossip get to you.
