Morale is in the tank - anyone else feeling it?

Seriously, what's going on? Feels like everyone is walking on eggshells. My team's been extra quiet in meetings, and the usual hallway chatter has died down to a whisper. People are hesitant to take PTO, and there's this general sense of unease. Is it just my department, or is this company-wide? Management seems to be in their own bubble, probably. Getting any real information is like pulling teeth. I'm starting to dread logging in each morning. Just feels... off. Anyone else in a similar boat or have any insights into what's creating this vibe? Trying to stay positive but it's getting harder by the day.

Yeah, I'm feeling it too. It's not just you. There's a definite chill in the air across several divisions. People are worried about layoffs, restructuring, and the general lack of transparency isn't helping. It's a tough environment when you don't know where things stand. Just trying to keep my head down and do good work, but it's hard not to pick up on the anxiety. Hope things improve soon, but I'm not holding my breath.

I hear you. While there's definitely a low hum of discontent, I haven't seen it quite as bad as you're describing everywhere. My team is mostly focused on our projects, though I admit communication from upper management has been pretty sparse lately. Maybe it's a location-specific thing, or maybe different departments are experiencing different pressures. Have you tried bringing it up in a team meeting, even just to ask for clarity on current priorities or initiatives? Sometimes voicing the unspoken can at least open a dialogue.
