Hey everyone, just wanted to see if I'm alone in this. Been at Airbnb for a few years now, and lately, the vibe feels... off. We keep hearing about selective hiring and the 'travel boom' is supposed to be huge, but internally, things feel pretty tight. There's been a lot of talk about restructuring in certain departments, especially recruiting from what I've heard. Not a layoff announcement, obviously, but it's creating a lot of anxiety. People are looking over their shoulders, and the usual internal mobility feels a bit frozen. Is anyone else in different teams seeing similar signals? Curious to hear if this is just my perception or if there's a broader trend.

Yeah, I've heard similar things circulating. It's that unsettling feeling when you sense changes brewing but nothing concrete is announced. The constant talk of efficiency and 'optimization' often precedes bigger shifts, and it's natural for folks to get anxious when they see hiring freezes or selective restructuring. Hopefully, it's just a normal part of scaling and adapting to market shifts, but the lack of clear communication definitely fuels the speculation. It's a tough environment to navigate when uncertainty is high.
