Anyone else feeling the vibe shift at Airbnb?

Lately, the overall atmosphere feels...different. It's not just about the recruiting cuts mentioned elsewhere. I'm seeing a general slowdown in new projects kicking off, teams being a bit more hesitant to expand, and a general sense of 'wait and see' pervading. There's definitely a quiet tension that wasn't there a year ago. People are whispering, looking at Glassdoor, trying to figure out if this is a strategic pivot or something more concerning. Is it just me, or are others noticing this creeping uncertainty? Feels like we're bracing for something, even if nothing has been officially announced. The 'family' vibe is starting to feel a little strained when you hear whispers about headcount.

I've definitely felt something shift too. It's like the boundless optimism of a few years back has been replaced by a more cautious approach. There's less of that 'move fast and break things' energy and more focus on efficiency and sustainability, which isn't necessarily bad, but it does change the feel. It's interesting to hear others are picking up on it too; makes you wonder what the long-term strategy really is.

Yeah, I'm seeing it. Feels like the company is consolidating its position rather than aggressively expanding. There's a noticeable tightening of budgets and a focus on core offerings. Maybe it's a natural evolution after rapid growth, or perhaps external market forces are really making an impact. Either way, the 'vibe' is definitely less about unchecked ambition and more about measured progress. It's a different kind of energy.
