Yeah, I've definitely noticed a shift too. It feels like the expectations are higher, and there's a real pressure to quantify everything you do. My manager is constantly asking for metrics and data to back up even small tasks. It's making it harder to feel like I'm contributing meaningfully when I'm spending so much time just tracking and reporting. It's a bit disheartening, honestly. Hope things get back to feeling more balanced soon.
This sounds exactly like my experience. The 'doing more with less' mantra is everywhere, and it feels like any initiative that isn't directly tied to immediate revenue or cost savings is being deprioritized. My stretch goals are also getting reined in because they're deemed 'not core.' It's a tough environment when you feel like you have to constantly prove your value in very specific, measurable ways, rather than focusing on longer-term innovation or skill-building.
