ALB - Morale seems low, is it just me?

Is it just me, or has the general mood around Albemarle taken a nosedive recently? People seem more stressed, less engaged, and there's a lot more water cooler talk about workload and uncertainty. My direct manager is super tight-lipped when I ask about team direction or future projects, just says 'stay focused on your current tasks.' It's creating a lot of anxiety, honestly. You see some people polishing their resumes, and it makes you wonder. I've always liked working here, but lately, it's tough to feel motivated when the future feels so hazy. Anyone else feeling this drag? Or am I just in a bubble of negativity?

I'm feeling it too. It's definitely not just you. The atmosphere has changed, and it's palpable. That lack of clear communication from management is a huge contributor to the stress. When you don't know what's coming, it's hard not to worry. Seeing colleagues quietly looking elsewhere certainly doesn't help morale either. I'm hoping things improve, but right now, it's a tough environment.

I haven't noticed a significant shift, but perhaps it depends on the department or team. My direct manager has been fairly open about our ongoing projects and priorities. While there's always some level of uncertainty in any company, I haven't personally felt a 'nosedive' in morale. Maybe the issues you're observing are more localized, or perhaps you're picking up on subtle cues I've missed.
