Management's communication style lately hasn't exactly been reassuring, leaving a lot of room for speculation. Best advice I've heard is to focus on your own performance and keep your resume updated, just in case. It's tough when there's so much uncertainty, but staying proactive is key.
Honestly, I think some of this 'prepare for anything' talk is just noise. Companies always go through cycles of restructuring and efficiency drives. The documentation might just be for process improvement or knowledge sharing, not necessarily layoff prep. I'd take the 'efficiency' talk with a grain of salt until concrete actions are announced.
