Been at ALB for a few years now, and lately, things feel... off. Management's been pretty quiet about the future, but there's this undercurrent of 'prepare for anything.' Lots of 'efficiency' talk in town halls, which usually means cost-cutting. My team's been asked to document everything we do, which feels like a precursor to something. Anyone else in different departments picking up similar signals? Just trying to gauge the general mood. Is it just me, or is the company holding its breath?

Honestly, I think some of this 'prepare for anything' talk is just noise. Companies always go through cycles of restructuring and efficiency drives. The documentation might just be for process improvement or knowledge sharing, not necessarily layoff prep. I'd take the 'efficiency' talk with a grain of salt until concrete actions are announced. Panicking now won't help; just keep doing good work. We've weathered storms before at ALB, and we'll likely do it again.
