This is classic corporate speak for 'we're cutting costs.' Don't fall for the 'efficiency' and 'synergy' buzzwords. They're just trying to get more out of you without paying for it. Document everything – every extra task, every late night. If things get worse, you'll have proof. Maybe start looking for a place that actually values its employees. It's a tough market, but this kind of pressure cooker environment rarely ends well.
