Yeah, I'm feeling it too. My manager's been pretty vague, which is unusual. 'Streamlining' sounds like a corporate buzzword for 'we're cutting corners and making you do more with less.' I'm bracing myself for the same old process but with even less clarity on how it impacts actual raises or promotions. Just trying to keep my head down and focus on delivering, hoping that speaks for itself.
Honestly, I'm not too worried. My manager said they're trying to make it more objective and directly link performance to specific company goals. While that can be a bit daunting, I'd actually prefer that over a subjective review. If they can clearly articulate what 'business needs' are and how my work contributes, then I'm all for it. Might be a good opportunity to really highlight accomplishments that align with the company's direction.
