I hear you. This uncertainty is a killer. I've been at companies where this kind of silence eventually led to major layoffs, so I understand the anxiety. I'm trying to focus on my own work and deliverables, but it's hard when you don't know if your contributions will even matter in a few months. Hopefully, leadership will realize how damaging this is and start being more transparent soon. It's really demoralizing.
Honestly, I'm not surprised. Management often operates with their own set of information, and sometimes they think keeping things vague is for the best to avoid unnecessary panic. While I agree transparency would be great, have you considered just focusing on what you can control? Hitting your targets, learning new skills, and keeping your resume updated might be more practical than waiting for 'intel.' Relying on rumors is a dangerous game.
